Insufficient number of trucks authorized to deliver aid to Gaza through Rafah crossing

Rafah, Rafah border crossing

Before the siege, hundreds of truckloads of goods were entering Gaza every day, and the Strip was already heavily dependent on foreign aid. Food, water and medicine are still sorely lacking. In addition, Israel imposes strict restrictions on so-called "dual-use items," i.e. goods that can be used for both civilian and military purposes. These goods range from generators, scalpels and scissors to autoclaves and oxygen concentrators.
