Mass casualty event in Nasser Hospital almost every week

On Saturday 13 July, at least 90 people were killed and 300 injured in a series of Israeli strikes on Al-Mawasi, an area declared safe by Israeli authorities. The medical staff of Nasser Hospital, supported by MSF teams, treated many of the hundreds wounded in this mass casualty event. Since the start of Israel's offensive in southern Gaza, thousands of Palestinians displaced by the fighting have taken refuge in the coastal area of Al-Mawasi. The murderous attack on 13 July follows a long series of atrocities committed by the Israeli army, and once again bears witness to its total disregard for the lives of Palestinians.
