Living conditions threaten the lives of pregnant women and newborns in Gaza

After nine months of relentless fighting, Nasser Hospital is the last facility able to offer maternity and pediatric services in southern Gaza. Between June 29 and July 5, the pediatric emergency department recorded over 2,600 consultations, with more than 300 children treated daily. Every day, 25 to 30 deliveries take place in the hospital's maternity ward. On site, MSF teams observe an increase in the number of premature deliveries and cases of infant malnutrition.
