MSF condemns yet another massacre of civilians in Gaza

"The carnage perpetrated by the Israeli army yesterday morning is the umpteenth illustration of its contempt for the lives of the Gazan population," says Claire Magone, Executive Director, MSF-France. "No military objective can justify killing dozens of people, many of them women and children, according to local sources. Since the beginning of the war, MSF teams in Gaza have been trying to help the thousands of victims of these indiscriminate strikes. Once again in Gaza, a place that was supposed to be safe for the population has turned into a death trap. Attack after attack, massacre after massacre, we watch helplessly as Israel wreaks havoc on the population of Gaza, terrorized, constantly displaced, cornered, shelled, deprived of access to healthcare, water and food. Once again, we call for an end to the fighting, for the embargo on the Gaza Strip to be lifted, and for anyone wishing to leave the Strip to be allowed to return. It's high time that the countries that support the Israeli government politically and militarily, and are therefore complicit in these massacres, finally used the pressure tools at their disposal."
