The already-restrictive environment for humanitarian operations in Gaza deteriorates further in the month of October

The Israeli authorities have closed the Erez terminal and imposed a siege on large areas of northern Gaza, including Beit Lahia, Beit Hanoun and most of Jabalia. Access to northern Gaza, which also includes Gaza City, remains severely restricted. In the south, humanitarian access is very limited due to insecurity and armed looting, fueled by the breakdown of law and order.
