The Israeli Ministry of Defense established a department to facilitate the "voluntary emigration" of Palestinians from Gaza

The office of Defense Minister Israel Katz states that the new department will work to prepare and enable the safe and controlled passage of Gaza residents for their voluntary departure to third countries, in particular by securing their travel, establishing travel routes, checking people at designated crossing points in the Gaza Strip, and coordinating the establishment of infrastructure that will enable passage by land, sea, and air to destination countries.
