Food security and dietary diversity have deteriorated significantly since March 2025, according to the World Food Programme (WFP)

This is the result of the closure of all crossing points for 11 weeks. Markets are experiencing severe shortages of basic commodities, with some items such as eggs and frozen meat completely sold out. Foodstuffs that are still available are being sold at exorbitant prices.
