Adoption by the United Nations General Assembly of a resolution demanding an immediate, unconditional, and lasting ceasefire in Gaza

The resolution, adopted by 149 votes in favor, 12 against – including those of the United States and Israel – and 19 abstentions, also demands guarantees that aid will reach the Palestinian civilian population immediately and in sufficient quantities.
