The evacuation of Gaza, "an atrocity crime under international law"

"This is not an evacuation," says Jan Egeland, Secretary General of the Norwegian Refugee Council. "The directive amounts to forcible transfer, an atrocity crime under international law. Families are being driven out of Gaza City into small, confined areas, under the constant threat of deportation beyond Gaza itself. This is not about protecting civilians, it is about stripping them of their homes, their communities, and their right to remain on their land."
