Despite the declaration of famine, Israel denies its existence and hinders humanitarian action

Some 20 humanitarian officials and famine experts publish a text calling for urgent action to combat famine in Gaza. "Rather than pivot to support a robust famine response, Israel has spent the month since the famine declaration denying existence of famine, impeding humanitarian action, and widening its military offensive in the famine zone."
