Thousands of patients with chronic and communicable diseases go without vital assistance
- Humanitarian access
Shortages of medicines, fuel, and basic infection control supplies are having a devastating impact on patient care. According to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), patients with non-communicable diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease, are finding it increasingly difficult to access their prescribed treatments due to depleted stocks, with serious repercussions for their health.
